Who We are:
Savanna’s Girls is a 501-C-3 Organization that assists young ladies of color in Knoxville, TN, by providing mentoring, leadership development, and life skills to enhance each young ladies potential to equip her with the skills necessary to overcome all of the hurdles that life will ultimately present. Savanna’s Girls started in 2019 in response to the need for such programs in Knoxville. Savanna’s Girls is named after the founder’s grandmother.

About Us : The Founder
Cassandra Ferguson is the founder of Savanna’s Girls. She is a native of Knoxville, TN. Cassandra grew up in Knoxville under the watchful eyes of strong women such as her grandmother, Mollie Savanna Ferguson, and other powerful women of faith, integrity, and character. All of Ms. Ferguson’s family reside in Knoxville, TN. Ms. Ferguson has a calling for mentoring young ladies and has a strong desire to help them achieve their dreams.

We envision a world where every young black girl knows her value, discovers her own unique voice, and is nurtured and empowered to reach her fullest potential.

Our Mission
is to encourage, mentor, educate and equip young black ladies with the skills necessary to reach her full potential, and become thriving, self-sustaining leaders.

is to empower young black ladies to know her worth, strive for excellence and maximize her full potential.
